The City Council of the City Council of Monticello, Florida met in special session on September 15, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall for the Tentative Millage/Budget Hearing.  The following members were present:

 

            Tom Vogelgesang, Mayor

            Idella Scott

            John Jones

            Linda Butler

            George Evans

 

            Others present were:

            Emily Anderson, City Clerk

            Steve Wingate, City Manager

            Fred Mosley, Police Chief

 

Police Chief Fred Mosley gave the invocation.  Mayor Vogelgesang led the Pledge of Allegiance.   Mayor Tom Vogelgesang announced that the purpose of the meeting was to conduct a public hearing and adopt the tentative millage rate and tentative budget for the 2009-2010 fiscal year.  He noted the tentative millage rate is 6.1000 mills, which represents a 2.94 percent decrease from the rollback rate of 6.2894 mills.  No members of the public were present.

 

RESOLUTION 2009- 10  ADOPTION OF TENTATIVE MILLAGE FY 2009-2010  Linda Butler made a motion to approve Resolution 2009- 10 adopting a tentative millage rate of 6.100.  The motion was seconded by George Evans and passed by unanimous vote.

 

RESOLUTION 2009-11 ADOPTION OF TENTATIVE BUDGET FY 2009-10   Idella Scott made a motion to adopt Resolution 2009-11.  The motion was seconded by Linda Butler and passed by unanimous vote. 

 

Mayor Vogelgesang announced the Final Budget Hearing would be Tuesday, September 21, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. 

 

There being no further business before the Council, the meeting was adjourned.
