The City Council of the City of Monticello, Florida, met in special session on
February 25, 2010 at 5:30 PM at City Hall. The following members were present:

John Jones, Mayor

Idella Scott

Linda Butler

Tom Vogelgesang

George Evans

Others present were:

Bruce A. Leinback, City Attorney

Steve Wingate, City Manager

Emily Anderson, City Clerk

Mayor John Jones called the meeting to order. Idella Scott offered the invocation, and Mayor Jones led the Pledge of Allegiance.

REQUEST BY CITY ATTORNEY FOR ADVICE CONCERNING PENDING LITIGATION – Pursuant to F.S. Section 286.011(8), Attorney Leinback requested advice from the Mayor and City Council regarding the case of Charles Colvin v. City of Monticello pending in the Circuit Court in Jefferson County. He also asked that the Council meet in a non-public executive session to discuss this item.

Mayor Jones announced names of attendees: Mayor John Jones, Linda Butler, George Evans, Idella Scott, Tom Vogelgesang, City Manager Steve Wingate, and City Attorney Bruce Leinback.

REOPENING OF SPECIAL (PUBLIC) MEETING

Mayor Jones reopened the public meeting.

There being no other business before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 5:59 p.m. on motion of Tom Vogelgesang.
